Another very early am shoot on the beach with Melissa & Steven’s engagement session.
Just like I talked about on the blog, we had just a few min of this nice light / sky before things got too bright. That's the bittersweet thing about beach engagement sessions. In order to get the best light you need to be here at the crack of dawn. Great. BUT.. you only have about 3 to 5 min of what I would call "ideal" sky before the sun comes up, and is now in the frame causing massive problems. Does this make sense? So, this is the main reason I don't do a whole lot of beach sessions like this. It's just too much work, for way too little results. After this shot that you see here.. I only got a few more shots, before the sun was already up and then you loose this magic sky. That's really annoying, and it's too bad we don't live on the west coast!
The lighting here was an LED static light camera right, on a very low power. I love the simple lines in this shot, and how Melissa is making contact with her man via her leg. Very romantic, and a little sexy all at the same time.
